Reginald Hammertoe generally took his lunch on the veranda, but lately the kelp had been taking up all the space at the buffet; leaving him without enough time to eat before returning to work.

On this day, Mr. Hammertoe had grabbed a quick bite at the pigeon factory before going for a stroll through what was left of a once thriving outlet mall in downtown Hragna.  He sensed (correctly) that something was amiss.
